plurk+blog=firef.ly?

Posted on Thursday 31 July 2008

Recently on my trawl to the deepest and meanest part of the ocean we called the Net, i stumbled upon a new Web 2.0 service called Firef.ly.

Basically what it does is a plurk-like chat interface over your weblog.

That’s right. Right over your weblog.

No installation required. You’ll just need to input a short code to your footer.

Try it. Just click Start Chatting located on the sliver bar at the lower right corner of your screen!

ps: it’ still on beta. so expect, lousy interface. buggy connection.

Wedding for Dead Couple

Posted on Thursday 24 July 2008

Flipping the straits times today and a photo caught my eye. I can’t show you the photo but the blurb wrote:

Relatives hold up cardboard cut-outs of Ms Li Wen and Mr Ma Ning during a wedding ceremony in Zhengzhou, Henan province, on Tuesday. The couple, who were engaged, were killed in a car crash in 2006. Their relatives decided to hold a special wedding ceremony for them to commemorate their love for each other.

Sad yah? :( Emo.

Aura Reading

Posted on Saturday 19 July 2008

Sorry for the lack of updates. Both of us have been really busy with work and too tired or bored to do any other things lately. Working in Singapore just has a way of draining us.

Anyway something interesting to highlight. Recently we were walking around at People’s Park and chanced upon a fortune telling centre which specialises in feng shui, fortune telling, etc. DPL saw a aura reading maching - I wouldn’t have known if he hadn’t told me. $10 per person so well, we tried since we have earlier spoke about that and wondered if there’s any truth behind this.

The findings were fascinating and pretty true. Let’s start with his. His colours were a mix of red and orangey-yellow. According to the consultant, he is very tired and hasn’t had enough sleep for the past months - True. He was thinking of money these days and how to advance his career - True. The tiredness he felt will cause him to feel aches in his whole body - True. He doesn’t have much luck lately - True. So well, out of 10 I would give the consultant 9! Cool right?

For me, it was a surprise for all three of us - the consultant, DPL and myself. Mine turned out to be crimson bright bloody red. Yes just one colour without any other tones. Just vicious, red which just makes ur blood chill just looking at it. The consultant was shocked. She said that it was surprising that I had such an aura and that I have been tired for years. Either I have poor quality of sleep or my health is not top-notch - True to both. I dream everyday and remember my dreams. I have always been sickly since I was young. Geez. The creepy thing was she detected I have problems with my digestive health which was true cos I haven’t been having fruits lately. ;P Cool right? Oh another interesting thing. She said that I was prone to attracting spirits! Lol. I don’t know how true that is but I certainly am quite oblivious. I gave her 10 out of 10 for accuracy!

DPL addendum: scan of our aura photos

For $10, both of us were utterly entertained. Go have your reading too if you are interested and share it with us! Have a good weekend! :)

feeling patrotic

Posted on Monday 14 July 2008

so missus has tickets for the NE show last saturday. and so we went there to get a tan.

the only two segments that i enjoyed myself tremendously are the Black Knights segment and fireworks.

Reason is that the black knights segment had chose the correct (at last!) music to go along with the show. The kindda where u put on while cruisin’ in ya car.

the nice heart shape they did.

The rest of the time, it’s a total bore - guess the theme’s this year is “NEW AGE”. with all the soothing silly new-agey music. gahhhhh!

Below is the contents of the funpack they gave:

again, a spread of useless stuff.

blossom the digital love

Posted on Sunday 6 July 2008

so the story starts when one fine day i told missus about the many cool games that are gonna be released, ones like SPORE, StarCraft2 and Diablo III. which in any case, the earliest of the lot (Spore, after more than a year of delay) is to be released around Sept’08.

Recently, SPORE released their SPORE Creature Creator, which gave me a first hand experience to create my own monsters of destructo.

This is Grieffin.

And grumpy-looking Pegacorn (Pegasus+Unicorn, geddit?)

But such mindless creations could only satisfy my hedonistic desires to take over the world for so long until the main game comes out.  And so, out of pity or elsewise, Missus asked me to play Maple Story with her.

=_=

Not wanting to go down into kiddyland where communication fails at all level in aLt CAPS with deadlyzzz ZZz andx XXxs and on the damnest luck that my cool cool machine frown at the sight of the game and grumble while i plead for it to install which it didnt, I suggested Cabal Online.

So our digital love is blossomed.

which i must say, our online characters are so much better looking than the real ones.

So what games you indulge in these days?

Is DPL That Hated?

Posted on Friday 4 July 2008

Hmm I was just wondering if he is really detestable? It’s a strong word but I always thought that the girls love him. Like he’s a girl’s best friend kind of person. When he was my friend, he was sweet, thoughtful and extremely loyal.

You all jest when you suggest that DPL’s unappealing right? :)

Can share with me your thought on him - I mean real thoughts, serious.

Thanks ladies…and gentlemen too if there’s anyone there brave enough to comment. :)
