today i fell in love with an angel.
rooted, i was, when her lovely gaze
met my lonely, dead heart.
the skies brightened with crawling gold
today i fell in love with an angel.
though a mere mortal only yearns and touches
the silvery coldness of her clipped wings.
through the days she caught my heart
or could it be Cupid playing her part
jostled, my beating heart
beating for a lovely smile
a smile, that brings warmth and love
a love, brings eternal peace
today i fell in love with an angel.
wanting her and not having her
the very tears of a thousand souls
fell like the cold lost rain of a summer’s night.
my love was not true to an angel
unworthy; tied with mortal strings
i could only cry mortal screams.
i could only cry mortal screams.
mortal, a wretched soul
never satisfied without an angel’s love
banished into the Cycles of the Throe
today i fell in love with an angel
lesser of what i seen before
a little of solace she may bring
that little to save a soul
But banished again and again
from her light, i fall
into an abyss of neverend cold
today i fell in love with an angel.
she shone a light
a winker of hope, a dimmed light,
she whispered words into my mind
breathed life into my heart
a shimmer of her smile
today i fell in love with an angel.
tomorrow, i’ll salvage my soul.
salvaged, i’ll fly with her once more.

I took a cab yesterday evening and the first thing I said when I stepped in, was my home address. Suddenly I wondered where my manners went to?
Usually I am polite but why didn’t I tell the cabdriver, “Can you please bring me to XXX” instead of stating my address. Boy I felt a little bad. Many might say it’s ok since we pay for the cabfares but I think a courteous greeting will be appreciated.
The next time I take a cab, I would be sure to ask the cabdriver politely if he could bring me to XXX instead of stating the place. I am sure they would appreciate gestures like this after a hard day work of cruising around.
DPL, you would too yah?
